Question 1

Is SaveTwitter.to completely free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SaveTwitter is 100% free with no daily download caps, no hidden paywalls, and no account registration required. You can save as many public Twitter and X videos as you need.

Question 2

Does SaveTwitter work with both x.com and twitter.com links?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Whether your copied URL starts with https://x.com/, https://twitter.com/, mobile.twitter.com, or a shortened t.co redirect, our extractor automatically normalizes the address and fetches the media.

Question 3

Do I need an X Premium subscription or login to download videos here?

Accepted Answer

No. While the official X app restricts offline video downloads to paid X Premium subscribers, SaveTwitter works anonymously in your browser for any public tweet without signing in.

Question 4

What is the highest video resolution I can download from a tweet?

Accepted Answer

Up to 1080p Full HD (1920×1080 or 1080×1920 for vertical clips), depending on what the creator originally uploaded. SaveTwitter displays every resolution stored on Twitter's CDN-typically 1080p, 720p, 480p, and 360p-so you can pick the sharpest version.

Question 5

How do I download a video from a quote tweet or a thread reply?

Accepted Answer

Tap directly on the video inside the quote tweet or the specific reply so that post opens in full screen, then tap the Share icon on that exact post and choose Copy link. If you copy the link to a text-only parent tweet, no video will be returned.

Question 6

Can I download a tweet that has multiple videos or both photos and videos?

Accepted Answer

Yes. X allows up to four media attachments in a single tweet. SaveTwitter detects mixed-media grids and displays individual download cards for every video clip and photo in the post. If you have several separate tweets to save at once, you can also process them in one batch using our [LINK_BULK].

Question 7

Why does my downloaded Twitter video have no sound?

Accepted Answer

First, check if the original post on X is actually a GIF or a muted clip. If the tweet has audio on X, make sure you click Download on a standard MP4 row in our results table, or click Prepare video if the highest resolution requires audio-video merging. If you only need the soundbite or speech track, you can also extract standalone audio with our [LINK_MP3].

Question 8

Does the person who posted the tweet know I downloaded their video?

Accepted Answer

No. X does not send notifications for external media downloads, and SaveTwitter fetches the public CDN stream anonymously without connecting to your personal Twitter account.
